Description
Fast-curing, 100% solids, aromatic, flexible, two-component spray polyurea material. It can be applied to properly prepared concrete and metal surfaces. Thanks to its extremely fast gel time, it is suitable for applications down to -30°C. Care must be taken that the surface to which it is applied is free of moisture (max. 4%). It is insensitive to humidity and temperature across many application temperatures. It becomes touch dry in a very short time, as little as twenty seconds, and after curing provides 405% elongation and 45 Shore D hardness.
A pure polyurea system containing no plasticizers. It is applied with the high-pressure hot spray technique using application machines designed for two-component products.

Surface Preparation and Application
Coating performance and adhesion to the surface are generally directly proportional to substrate preparation. Surfaces to be coated must be free of dust, oil, rust, corrosion and other contaminants. The main cause of problems with surface coatings is inadequate surface preparation. Surface preparation and the primer to be used vary according to the application; primers may differ depending on both the substrate and the product. To obtain the best results from the application, the recommended products and primers should be used. All surfaces must be cleaned of dust with industrial vacuum cleaners.
| Surface | Surface preparation |
|---|---|
| New and old concrete | For good adhesion of the product, the surface must be clean, dry and sound. Dust, dirt, oil, release agents, curing compounds, salts and weak, easily detached particles must be removed from the surface by scarifying, water jetting or sandblasting. The epoxy moisture barrier primer DEMCO EPOX 110 PR is applied to the cleaned surface. If the old concrete surface is damaged and uneven, or has voids, cracks and cavities, it must be repaired with DEMCO EPOX 110 PR primer mixed with sand. On highly absorbent concrete surfaces, 2 coats of primer may be required. |
| Wood | The surface must be dry and clean, and all loose particles must be removed. Splinters and excessively rough areas must be smoothed, and cracks must be repaired with a mixture of sand and a suitable primer. |
| Steel (surface exposed to atmospheric conditions or water) | Oil, grease, weld spatter and sharp edges should be removed from the surface. The surface should be prepared by blasting in accordance with international standards. To prevent flash rusting, the surface should be primed on the same day it is blasted. |
| Aluminum | Aluminum surfaces must be cleaned with aluminum oxide or by sandblasting. Excessive sandblasting may damage the surface. After sandblasting, the surface must be cleaned again with a suitable aluminum cleaner, dried and then primed. |
| Brass and copper | Brass and copper surfaces must be sandblasted, and primer must be applied after blasting. |
| Galvanized surface | The surface must not be sandblasted. Oil and dirt on the surface should be removed with a suitable cleaner, and a primer should be applied. |
| Glass fiber reinforced plastic (polyester) | The gel-coat layer must be lightly sandblasted or sanded with 80-grit sandpaper. |
| Canvas – fabric | Applied directly onto many fabrics and fibrous structures; no primer required. |
| Old and new cast iron | On old cast surfaces, adhesion problems may occur due to oil contamination. Surfaces should be shot blasted with steel shot and cleaned of grease and oil. |
| Other surfaces | A preliminary test is recommended before application. |
- Component A should be mixed with an air-powered mixer to obtain a homogeneous consistency and color.
- It is recommended to bring components A and B to 25°C before application.
- The product is applied with two-component, heated-hose, 1:1 ratio, high-pressure spray machines (Graco Reactor or other machines).
- Components A and B must be sprayed at a minimum pressure of 2000 psi and a temperature of 65°C. This pressure and temperature must be kept constant at all times.
- In areas continuously exposed to UV radiation, applying a single coat of an aliphatic PU topcoat gives excellent results.
Application Conditions
- The moisture content of the substrate must not exceed 4%.
- The pull-off (adhesion) strength of the substrate should average 1,5 N/mm² and its compressive strength should be at least 25 N/mm².
- Coated surfaces must be protected from water, dew, dust and similar influences for at least 24 hours.
Coverage
Can be applied at any desired thickness. Thickness also varies depending on the application area. Theoretically, 1,1 kg is applied per 1 m² for a thickness of 1 mm.
Storage and Shelf Life
Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture, provided the containers remain unopened. It is recommended to store the A and B drums above 15°C. Drums must be stored on wooden pallets to prevent direct contact with the floor. Store in the original, unopened packaging in a closed, dry place; do not leave in direct sunlight. Pallets must not be stacked.
Packaging
- Component A: 200 kg metal drum
- Component B: 220 kg metal drum
