Description
A solvent-free epoxy primer. It adheres to the surface it is applied to and increases its impact strength and chemical resistance. It also ensures that subsequent coats and/or aggregates broadcast onto it before it has fully cured adhere to the surface.
Advantages
- Contains no solvents.
- Low viscosity and easy to apply.
- Prevents dusting of the surface to which it is applied.
- Penetrates the capillary pores in the concrete and blocks them.
- Increases the chemical and impact resistance of concrete.
- Resistant to cold greases and machine oils used in repair and maintenance work.

Surface Preparation and Application
Surface preparation and application method:
- Surfaces to be coated must be free of oil, rust, dust and similar contaminants.
- The surface to be coated must be free of moisture, and no loose layer whatsoever may remain.
- Glossy surfaces should be roughened by shot blasting or milling.
- The prepared concrete surface must be primed with the Solvent-Free Epoxy Impregnating Primer DEMCO EPOX 100 PR, following the application instructions, so that it is fully impregnated.
- Any cracks and holes in the surface should be repaired with epoxy filler.
- DEMCO EPOX 115 PR and/or a 1:1 mixture of the product with quartz is applied to the prepared and primed surface.
- If required, quartz is broadcast onto the surface. After 24 hours, the loose quartz is swept off.
- After the surface has been prepared by grinding or power troweling, a scratch coat is applied, followed by the topcoat.
Mixing: The entire B component should be poured into the A component, and the two components should be mixed for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is formed. Mixing at low speed is recommended to prevent air bubbles from forming in the mixture.
Thinner: Not to be thinned with thinner.
Application Conditions
- Working area temperature must be 15°C – 30°C.
- The ideal substrate temperature is 15°C – 30°C. The temperature must never be below 10°C.
- For both outdoor and indoor applications, substrate and ambient temperature as well as ambient humidity must be taken into account.
- The relative moisture of the substrate must be below 4% and the ambient humidity below 80%.
- For 24 hours after application, the surface must not be touched and must not come into contact with water.
- A suitable amount of mixture should be prepared during work, and work should continue until the entire mixture has been used.
- When applied at 20 – 25°C, DEMCO EPOX 115 PR reaches full cure at room temperature in an average of 7 days.
- Epoxy applications can be carried out on the primed surface after 2 – 4 hours. For polyurethane applications, make sure the product has become touch-dry; this takes a minimum of 12 – 24 hours at an ambient temperature of 15°C – 30°C.
Coverage
Consumption varies depending on the required film thickness (400 g/m²: 350 – 370 µm).
