Description
A polyurethane-based, elastic coating material. It self-levels on the floor to which it is applied. Thanks to its elastic structure, it moves with the substrate and is not affected by sudden temperature changes. It is a coating system used for industrial floor coatings, vehicle bodies, vehicle underbodies, cold storage rooms, warehouses, stores, workshops, car parks, sales areas, schools, hospitals, the food and pharmaceutical sectors, the electronics industry and floors where elasticity is required.
Features
- Solvent-free, polyurethane-based, elastic self leveling coating.
- Spreads by itself over the floor to which it is applied.
- Thanks to its elastic structure, it moves together with the substrate it is applied to.
- Unaffected by sudden temperature changes.
Application Areas
- Industrial floor coatings
- Vehicle bodies and underbodies
- Cold stores and warehouses
- Stores and sales areas
- Workshops
- Car parks
- Schools and hospitals
- Food and pharmaceutical sector
- Electronics industry
- Floors requiring elasticity

Surface Preparation and Application
Surfaces to be coated must be free of oil, rust, dust and similar contaminants. There must be no moisture on the surface to be coated, and absolutely no loose layer may remain. Glossy surfaces must be roughened by shot blasting, grinding or milling. The prepared concrete surface must be primed with the Solvent-Free Epoxy Impregnating Primer DEMCO EPOX 100 PR so that it is fully impregnated, following the application instructions. Any cracks and holes in the surface must be repaired with epoxy filler.
After mixing component A in its own container, pour the entire B component into component A and mix for at least 3 minutes until the two components form a homogeneous mixture. Mixing at low speed is recommended to prevent air bubbles from forming in the mixture. Do not thin the product with thinner.
Solvent-Free Polyurethane Elastic Self Leveling Coating DEMCO PUR 363 SELF is applied with a notched trowel over the prepared and primed surface, following the application instructions. Air bubbles are removed with a spiked roller.
To protect against sunlight in outdoor applications and to protect the self-leveling surface against scratching and soiling in indoor applications, the surface is coated with Acrylic Polyurethane Semi-Matte Topcoat DEMCO PUR 412 TOP COAT UVS/HM in 1 coat at a consumption of 0,150 kg/m². Under normal conditions, wait 10 – 24 hours between coats (at 23°C). If this interval is exceeded, the surface must be sanded before the next coat is applied. The recoat interval is longer at low temperatures and shorter at high temperatures. The ideal temperature range for application is 15-30°C.
CAUTION! Owing to its excellent flow properties, it is designed for horizontal floors and is not suitable for vertical surfaces, as it will run and sag.
Application Conditions
- Working area temperature must be 15°C – 30°C.
- The ideal temperature of the floor to be coated should be 15°C – 30°C. The temperature must never be below 10°C.
- For indoor and outdoor applications, substrate temperature, ambient temperature and ambient humidity must be taken into account.
- The relative humidity of the substrate must be below 4%, and the ambient humidity below 80%.
- For 24 hours after application, the surface must not be touched or come into contact with water.
- During work, mix suitable quantities and continue working until the entire mix has been used up.
- When applied at 20 – 25°C, DEMCO PUR 363 SELF reaches full cure at room temperature in 7 days on average.
- After the primer coat has been applied, make sure that the primer surface has become tack-free; DEMCO PUR 363 SELF should be applied after approximately 24 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
