Description
DEMCO ® PUR 303 CONCRETE SL23-UT/WB is an industrial floor coating system based on polyurethane-cement hybrid technology, and a three-component polyurethane coating designed for coating the surface of DEMCO ® PUR 303 CONCRETE SL31-COVING/WB. DEMCO ® PUR 303 CONCRETE SL23-UT/WB consists of a base coat onto which a layer of anti-slip aggregate is broadcast. The system is completed with a glossy, scratch-resistant topcoat.
Advantages
- Water-based, solvent-free and odorless.
- Resistant to chemical attack, with good abrasion and impact resistance.
- Thanks to its glossy, scratch-resistant and waterproof surface, the floor is hygienic and easy to clean and maintain.
Application Areas
- Food and beverage industry
- Chemical industry
- Car parks
- Basements
- Laboratories

Note: Application time is the period immediately following the pouring of the material onto the floor after mixing, in accordance with the application procedure.
Note: Curing times are average values and are given for guidance only. They may vary depending on site conditions.
Surface Preparation and Application
- The entire hardener component should be poured into the resin component and mixed for at least 1 minute until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- The powder aggregate (component C) should be added slowly to the mixture and mixed for 1–2 minutes until a lump-free, homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- Application should be carried out with a short-pile roller so that the surface is completely wetted, and the surface should be smoothed with the roller.
- Since uneven application thickness can result in a poor surface appearance, it is recommended to apply two coats instead of one, in line with the consumption rates specified by the manufacturer.
- A suitable amount of mixture should be prepared during work, and work should continue until the entire mixture has been used.
Thinner: Not to be thinned with thinner.
Application Conditions
The ambient temperature during application should be 10°C-30°C.
- To reduce risks such as condensation or blooming, the floor and the application surface must be kept at least 3°C above the dew point for 48 hours after the application is completed.
- Should not be used on substrates known to be affected by rising damp or in environments with relative humidity above 75%. Application should not be carried out if the substrate is 5°C below the dew point temperature.
- Application must not be carried out if the air temperature or the substrate temperature will be below +5°C during application or curing.
Coverage
A wet film thickness of approximately 200 µ is achieved in a single coat with a consumption of 0,300 kg/m².
Note: The values given are theoretical. Values may vary depending on wastage and surface roughness.
Storage and Shelf Life
1 year (6 months for the aggregate component) in unopened original packaging, at 10–30°C, in closed, damp-free storage areas out of direct sunlight and in a dry environment. Products stored outside these temperatures or in environments exposed to constant temperature fluctuations may have a shorter shelf life. Protect from frost.

Chemical Resistance
DEMCO ® PUR 303 CONCRETE SL23-UT/WB is resistant to many chemicals widely found in the food, dairy and pharmaceutical industries and in manufacturing areas, such as citric acid (fruit derivatives), acetic acid (50% vinegar), lactic acid (milk and dairy products) and alcohols (methanol, ethanol).
It also offers high resistance to inorganic acids, fuels, hydraulic oils, mineral oils and solvents. Appropriate cleaning and maintenance methods should be applied to ensure the long-term performance of the product.
Chemical resistance may vary depending on contact time, temperature, the type of chemical and the cleaning carried out. Under these conditions, staining or discoloration may occur; however, this does not affect the performance or service life of the product.
Precautions
- Regular maintenance and cleaning are essential to preserve the product's service life, slip resistance values and color. It can be easily cleaned using standard industrial cleaning materials and chemicals. Consult your supplier about cleaning chemicals and protection.
- Does not discolor rapidly, but may yellow over time. The rate of change depends on UV light and heat levels. This will be more noticeable in light colors and blue shades. In such cases, the service life and chemical resistance of the product are not reduced.
Approvals / Standards
Tested to EN 1504-2 within the scope of CE certification.
