Description
A two-component, flame-retardant polyurethane coating material with low toxic gas emission. It is used as a PRC coating and as an elastic intermediate coat.
Advantages
- Thanks to its elastic structure, it moves together with the surface it is applied to.
- Used on ‘floating floor’ surfaces on ships.
- Does not spread flame and has flame-retardant properties. Has a test report of compliance with the IMO Res. A.653 standard.
- After full cure, the amount of toxic gas released in the event of fire is below the limits. A test report confirming compliance with IMO Res. A.653 is available.
- Provides good waterproofing through seamless wall-to-wall application.
- Resistant to chemicals.
- Resistant to thermal shock.
Suitable Substrates
- Concrete surfaces (primed with DEMCO EPOX 100 PR).
- Metal surfaces (primed with DEMCO EPOX 132 PR/S).

Surface Preparation and Application
Surface Preparation:
- Surfaces to be coated must be free of oil, rust, dust and similar contaminants.
- If the surface to be coated is metal, it must be primed with DEMCO EPOX 132 PR/S.
- The concrete surface must be free of moisture, and no loose layer whatsoever may remain. Glossy surfaces must be roughened by shot blasting, grinding or milling.
- The prepared concrete surface must be primed with the Solvent-Free Epoxy Impregnating Primer DEMCO EPOX 100 PR, following the application instructions, so that it is fully impregnated.
- Any cracks and holes in the surface must be repaired using DEMCO EPOX 284.
Mixing:
- All of component B should be poured into component A, and the two components should be mixed at low speed for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixing time should be at least 3 minutes and should not exceed 5 minutes.
- Prepare a suitable quantity of mix during the work and continue working until all of the prepared mix has been used.
Application:
- At least 24 hours after primer application and once the surface is dry, the DEMCO PUR 3000 mixture is poured onto the primed surface and spread to a thickness of approximately 3 mm, preferably 5 mm, using a notched trowel or squeegee.
- To release air bubbles and ensure even spreading, the surface is rolled with a spiked roller, completing the application.
- Must not be diluted with thinner.
Application Conditions
- Working area temperature must be 15°C – 30°C.
- The ideal substrate temperature is 15°C – 30°C. The temperature must never be below 10°C.
- For indoor and outdoor applications, substrate temperature, ambient temperature and ambient humidity must be taken into account.
- Substrate moisture must be below 4% and ambient humidity below 65%.
- For 24 hours after application, the surface must not be touched and must not come into contact with water.
- When applied at 20-25°C, DEMCO PUR 3000 reaches full cure at room temperature in an average of 7 days.
- Viscosity may vary depending on substrate, ambient and material temperature.
- Application of DEMCO PUR 3000 and other floor coatings must be carried out by specialist applicators.
