Description
An epoxy-based, solvent-free, high-strength protective coating that can be applied to metal and concrete surfaces. Suitable for contact with drinking water, it is specifically designed for drinking water pipes and tanks. It can be safely used on carbon steel, composite and concrete surfaces after appropriate surface preparation.
Advantages
- Contains no solvents.
- High mechanical and chemical resistance.
- Creates a seamless, smooth finish that is easy to clean.
- Impermeable to liquids.
- Easy to apply by roller and spray equipment.
Application Areas
- Used on the interior of drinking water systems.
- Used in areas where food and beverages are stored.
Suitable Substrates
Can be applied to the following surfaces after suitable surface preparation:
- Carbon steel
- Composite
- Concrete

Surface Preparation and Application
- Surface preparation: The surfaces to be coated must be free of oil, rust, dust and similar contaminants. There must be no moisture on the surface, and no loose layer may remain under any circumstances.
- Metal surfaces: Must be cleaned by sandblasting, and the coating must be applied immediately, before oxidation occurs.
- Concrete surfaces: The product can be applied after suitable surface preparation.
- Mixing: After component A has been mixed in its own container for 1-2 minutes, all of component B should be poured into component A and mixed at low speed for 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Thinning: The product is not to be thinned with thinner.
- Application: The product is applied by roller or spray equipment. Application in two coats is recommended.
Application Conditions
- The working area temperature must be 15°C – 35°C.
- The ideal temperature of the substrate should be 15°C – 30°C. To prevent condensation, the surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
- For indoor and outdoor applications, substrate temperature, ambient temperature and ambient humidity must be taken into account.
- The relative moisture of the substrate must be below 4% and the ambient humidity below 80%.
- For 24 hours after application, the surface must not be touched or come into contact with water.
- A suitable amount of mixture should be prepared during work, and work should continue until the entire mixture has been used.
Coverage
The recommended consumption is 0,250 – 0,350 kg/m² per coat. Application in two coats is recommended.
Storage and Shelf Life
At 15 – 30°C, in dry, closed warehouses away from direct sunlight, the shelf life in unopened original packaging is 12 months.
Packaging
Total Net: 20 kg (A: 16,00 kg / B: 4,00 kg)
Safety Precautions
Avoid contact of the mixture or its components with skin and eyes; in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear protective gloves, clothing and goggles, and keep the product out of the reach of children. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
Approvals / Standards
- Tested to EN 1504-2 within the scope of CE certification.
- Tested according to BS 6920 and approved as suitable for contact with drinking water.
