Description
DEMCO EPOX 155 TOP COAT/DK is a two-component, epoxy-based topcoat developed for vertical surfaces.
Can be applied on metal, wood and concrete surfaces. Used for coating floors where a smooth finish is required in areas where food products are manufactured, stored and sold, as well as floors of warehouses, stores and offices, and especially for painting vertical surfaces, walls, stair risers and chamfers.
Advantages
- Has very good chemical resistance and high mechanical strength.
- Easy to apply. Can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray.
- Provides good waterproofing.
- Can be applied to horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Thanks to its thixotropic structure, it does not sag on vertical surfaces, even at 400 g/m².

Surface Preparation and Application
- Surfaces to be coated must be free of oil, rust, dust and similar contaminants. The surface must be free of moisture, and no loose layer whatsoever may remain.
- Glossy surfaces should be roughened by shot blasting, grinding or scarifying.
- The prepared concrete surface must be primed with the solvent-free epoxy impregnating primer DEMCO EPOX 100 PR, following the application instructions, so that it is fully impregnated.
- Any cracks and holes in the surface must be repaired using epoxy putty.
- Pour all of component B into component A and mix the two components for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing at low speed is recommended to prevent air bubbles from forming in the mixture.
- Do not thin the product with thinner.
- DEMCO EPOX 155 TOP COAT/DK is applied by brush, roller or airless spray onto the prepared and primed surface.
- A suitable amount of mixture should be prepared during work, and work should continue until the entire mixture has been used.
CAUTION! Due to its low flow properties, it is designed for vertical surfaces and may produce a slight orange-peel effect when applied to horizontal surfaces. On vertical surfaces, it must be applied at a consumption of 400 g/m² in a single coat. Exceeding this amount may cause sagging.
Application Conditions
- Working area temperature must be 15°C – 30°C.
- The ideal substrate temperature is 15°C – 30°C. The temperature must never be below 10°C.
- For indoor and outdoor applications, substrate temperature, ambient temperature and ambient humidity must be taken into account.
- The relative moisture of the substrate must be below 4% and the ambient humidity below 80%.
- For 24 hours after application, the surface must not be touched or come into contact with water.
- When applied at 20 – 25°C, the product reaches full cure at room temperature in 7 days on average.
Coverage
- A dry film thickness of 220 – 250 µ is obtained in a single coat at a consumption of 0,350 - 0,500 kg/m².
- On vertical surfaces, it must be applied at a maximum of 400 g/m² per coat; exceeding this amount may cause sagging.
Storage and Shelf Life
At 15 – 25°C in dry, closed warehouses away from direct sunlight, in unopened original packaging; 1 year.
