Surface Preparation and Application
Surface Preparation
- All surfaces to be coated must be cleaned of foreign matter such as dust, oil and dirt.
- The surface must be free of weak and loose particles.
- Surface defects such as pits, cracks and fractures should be repaired with repair mortar.
- To ensure good adhesion, absorbent and dusting surfaces should be saturated with water and primed with a suitable primer.
Application Method
- Before use, the product is mixed for a few minutes with a low-speed mixer.
- Apply the first coat to the surface by brush, roller or spray, working in one direction.
- Once the first coat has cured, the second coat is applied perpendicular to the direction of the first coat.
Coverage
Consumption may vary depending on the porosity of the surface. A total of 1,5-2 kg/m² of material, applied in two coats, is recommended.
Storage and Shelf Life
It must be stored under suitable storage conditions, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Shelf life in the unopened, sealed original packaging is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Packaging
20 kg plastic bucket.
Safety Precautions
Contact of the product with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor. Protective gloves, clothing and goggles must be worn, and the product must be kept out of reach of children. More detailed information on safety and disposal can be found in the MSDS.
Precautions
- Not suitable for waterproofing areas exposed to pressurized water or ponding.
- Reinforcement must be used at details with a risk of cracking, such as floor-wall junctions.
- After application, it must be protected against punctures, scratches and impacts.
- After sufficient curing (3-4 days), it should be covered with tiles, ceramics, plaster or screed.
- Avoid application in very hot, humid and windy weather.
- Do not apply on frozen surfaces or surfaces at risk of frost.
