Surface Preparation and Application
Surface Preparation
- Surfaces to be coated must be thoroughly cleaned of all contaminants (dust, rust, oil, grease and other contamination) and dried.
- Damaged areas must be thoroughly cleaned by abrasive scraping.
- Sanding should be carried out to improve the adhesion of the primer to the surface. Good surface preparation will enhance the performance of the primer.
Application Method
- Recommended application equipment: air or airless spray.
- For industrial application, it should be thinned at a suitable ratio (15-20% with alkyd or cellulose thinner) and applied in two coats with a conventional or airless spray gun.
- Thinner: Thin by 15-20% with Industrial Thinner.
Application Conditions
During application, the ambient temperature should be 5-35°C and the relative humidity should be in the range of 10%-80%.
