Description
AKRİLİK ASTAR 2K is a high-performance, acrylic-based surfacer primer. It is specially formulated to achieve a smooth, even surface before topcoat application. It provides excellent surface integrity and fast drying in areas under repair. It can be applied to metal and non-metal surfaces with superior adhesion. Adhering strongly to the surface, it provides effective protection against corrosion while creating an ideal base for the topcoats applied over it.

Drying time may be extended if the applied coats are very thick.
Surface Preparation and Application
- Surface preparation: Sand the surface appropriately to remove all corrosion and rust. Clean all dust, oil and dirt from the surface completely.
- Completely remove any moisture from the painting equipment before use.
- Shake the product thoroughly before application.
- Mixing: Acrylic Primer 2K and Acrylic Hardener are mixed at a ratio of 4:1.
- Thinning: Can be thinned with AKRİLİK TİNER up to 20% by volume.
- After sanding, the next coat must be applied within 12 hours at the latest.
- Clean the equipment thoroughly immediately after application so that no residue remains in the painting equipment.
- After application, close the product lid tightly.
Storage and Shelf Life
Shelf life is 1 year when stored in the unopened original packaging at 20 °C in dry, enclosed warehouses away from direct sunlight.
